Who is Stella Arden

She is my eldest daughter who is 17. This is the only photo I have of us together. She came early despite attempts to stop the labour, and although on the small side, was born strong.

She made huge progress in leaps and bounds over her 10 days of life but on the morning of 4th March, she died very suddenly and unexpectedly from an infection which we later found out she contracted from the hospital.

I’ve spent the last 17 years feeling ripped off that Stella died. I don’t believe that dying was meant to be her path and I don’t believe everything happens for a reason. I’ve had to work really hard at moving forward and being positive.

Going on to have 4 more children fairly quickly has been something I will be forever grateful for (some days it’s overwhelming that’s for sure) I’m constantly juggling to parent my earth-side children while forever deeply longing for my first born.

My business and my clients have been a huge part of my therapy. After she died in 2006, I decided to offer after-hours beauty treatments from my old home in West Hobart. I was working in a beauty salon during the day, and keeping myself occupied at night to hide a bit from the grief. Clients would ask me for a price list so one night I did one up and thought that Stella’s name would look good on the price list!

Fast forward 16 years, Stella Arden has grown organically and gone from strength to strength thanks to a very strong and loyal clientele base, many of whom have been my clients from the very beginning.

Thank you for taking the time to read who Stella Arden is. It fills my heart with joy every time I hear her name.

With love and appreciation,
