-PRE-BOOKING INFORMATION-

BROW TATTOOING

Before making a booking for brow tattooing please ensure you read and understand this information. For all bookings made via our website, we expect that you have read the information provided prior to confirming your booking and are therefore agreeing to all terms.

Please note that if you are considering your first ever brow tattooing, we do recommend booking our 30 minute consultation first.

PERFECTING SESSION

For all new Brow Tattooing, clients will need two sessions 6 - 8 weeks apart. Think of the first session as the undercoat and the second session as the top coat. To avoid the risk of not securing a second session within the required timeframe, you must book your Perfecting Session as well as your initial session - therefore two separate bookings need to be made.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Booking age restriction

You must be 18 and over for all cosmetic tattooing procedures.

covid vaccinAtions

The PMU industry has identified potential imperfections with tattooing results when performed either side of clients receiving the Covid Vaccines. It may inhibit the pigment retention and affect the skin healing.  Therefore we recommend booking all tattooing at least 2 weeks post vaccine, and to wait until at least 4 weeks after tattooing procedures before receiving the vaccine.

Medical restrictions

We are unable to perform tattooing if:

  • you are pregnant

  • you are prone to Keloid scarring

Please remember:

  • you will need to express for 24 hours after tattooing if you are breastfeeding

  • you are unable to donate blood 4 months after your tattooing session

Please notify us if you suffer from any of the following:

Autoimmune disorders, diabetes, heart conditions, blood disorders, communicable diseases, thyroid issues, problems with healing, iron deficiency/anaemia or anxiety issues.

Medication

The following medications will affect cosmetic tattoo procedures:

  • acne or skin treatment medications such as Accutane, Doxycycline, Isotretinoin or Roaccutane

  • antibiotics

  • anti-inflammatory or blood thinning medication

  • anti-anxiety or anti-psychotic medication

If you have been on Accutane medication, you must wait a minimum of 6 months before booking treatment to ensure your skin is in its best condition for tattooing.

Previous tattooing

We do not always take on other technician’s work due to a range of reasons like the pigment being too dark or saturated, discolouration, a shape or thickness that is not our style and that we don’t think is suitable to your face structure. You will need to send through photos of your brows without any make up in them for us to make an assessment. We do recommend booking a consultation in order for us to see the skin and the remaining old tattoo.

NUMBING CREAM

The law states you are required to purchase your own numbing cream. Please contact Epic Pharmacy at least one week before your tattooing appointment to order your numbing cream. Ensure you follow the additional instructions within your confirmation email.

Epic Pharmacy located at 30/36 New Town Road, New Town - phone 62860001

We advise you to use numbing cream to avoid as much discomfort as possible. In the event you choose not to use the numbing cream prior to your appointment, and therefore need to cease the treatment due to becoming too uncomfortable, you will still be charged in full for the appointment. If you are not numb and moving during our session, we reserve the right to discontinue treatment and the full fee will be charged.

Please note, there is no need to bring your own numbing cream to your appointment once you have applied it at home, that should be kept in your fridge for your next session.
